Nevada Division of Water Resources unveils new website

Nevada's water agency has modernized its website, making it easier for the public to find crucial water information and stay updated on important notices.

August 9, 2024 –– The Nevada Division of Water Resources recently launched a revamped website designed to provide a more seamless experience for users seeking information about water resources in the state. The site boasts a user-friendly interface, simplified navigation, and powerful query tools to enable quick and efficient access to detailed data.

One particularly valuable feature is the “Happening Now” section, which provides time-sensitive notices such as new forms or the recent “Notice of Pre-Statutory Claims of Vested Rights.” This notice serves as a critical reminder for individuals or entities claiming pre-statutory water rights to submit proof of water use to the State Engineer by December 31, 2027, or risk their claim being deemed abandoned.

The Nevada Division of Water Resources encourages everyone to explore the new website and discover the wealth of resources available to better understand and manage their water claims.

Since 1995, Deborah has owned and operated LegalTech LLC with a focus on water rights. Before moving to Arizona in 1986, she worked as a quality control analyst for Honeywell and in commercial real estate, both in Texas. She learned about Arizona's water rights from the late and great attorney Michael Brophy of Ryley, Carlock & Applewhite. Wow! That is a beautiful website. Nicely laid out, with great images and color scheme. It’s beyond easy on the eyes and contains water related forms to download and submit. It seems to be a wonderful resource.
