Snowpack boosted to 105% of normal in Colorado River Basin

Blizzards deliver much needed snowpack to Colorado River Basin

March 5, 2024 — The Colorado River Basin received a much-needed boost from recent snowfall, pushing snowpack to 105% of normalOpens in a new tab. with the expected peak less than a month away on April 1.  This positive trend is supported by precipitation levels at 102% of normal.

As of yesterday, U.S. Lakes reported that Lake Mead’s water level was at 1,076.66 feet, 152.34 feet below full pool of 1,229.00.    Lake Powell Water DataOpens in a new tab. reports that Lake Powell is 32.53% of Full Pool and the 34 tracked reservoirs above Lake Powell are currently at 76.58% of capacity
