The National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) is a multi-agency partnership that coordinates drought monitoring, forecasting, planning, and information at national, tribal, state, and local levels. At the NIDIS site, simply type in your zip code to find out the drought and wildfire outlook in your area. Not only are there predictive models, but information about historical trends is given, plus links to state and county resources.
The federal government-run site also offers drought analysis by sector, such as agriculture, tourism, utilities and wildfire management.
